Poem by Amelia Arce

Moments before the bullet penetrates her intestines
I felt her claws thrust inside my stomach.
Craving his flesh on her tongue.
Running off the ledge, He fetches for the gun,
Tripping, falling, feeling her hold his lung.
His hands wrapped around her waist.
Twisting her body, breaking, contouring her bewildered face.
I chew her out limb by limb.
Leaving her putrefied and walking away with a grin.
