This painting comes from an earlier drawing from when I first began imagining the graffiti letters as living creatures versus the inanimate styles I’d become so comfortable with. The idea of a graffiti piece made from feathers just cracked me up. It’s so out of place and to my knowledge, had never been done before. This is exactly why I needed to do it. Often I hear that I have inspired other artists or that I’m the one that pushes the envelope farther than the rest. I love that most and it keeps my artistic mojo constantly going in high gear!
